So this is boring I know, I have a go to hike when I lack the imagination to think up somewhere new .
I did have a plan to visit the Thames barrier and the Woolwich ferry but then I had to work the next day in that area, so I thought I wait until then…
It didn’t happen, so in the meantime I walked my ‘go to hike/ default hike’ to Hertford. This time to be really exciting Whoop Whoop, I went to Hertford east station for the first time and not Hertford north. It’s a nice station, who knew? The walk was excellent however or I wouldn’t have done it. I know I am making out it was dull and boring but it was anything but. I use this time to listen horror podcasts and did for the full five hours it took me to walk the sixteen miles. I was listening to the simply scary podcast network. The canal is beautiful all year round but especially autumn and Halloween, it gets dark at just the right time of day. One thing I did noticed about many of the narrow boats was there were a large number of sinks full of dirty dishes. I know, I shouldn’t be looking but two things, 1: I love narrow boats and I’m really interested in their layouts and 2: I’m nosey. I am trying to figure out where to go this Saturday, once I figure out how to resolve the mess that is my website publishing, i.e. one site for podcasts and the other for blog posts. Yea, I need to sort out Halloween first.
