Horror Weekend

I have binged watch some classic horror films this weekend. the Exorcist, Halloween, The Rocky Picture Show and Us. The Exorcist I mentioned in an earlier post, Halloween was predictable but a classic none the less and very apt for its time. I love Rocky horror and always will, I have been a fan since I was 14. Us, I watched with a closed mind despite it being a Jordan Peel film, which should have given it some indication that it would be good) It is very good, creepy, unexpected, few jump scares but relies on a good story,

The Exorcist

Finally got round to watching this movie. As a Satanist, it is more of a comedy than a horror. Clearly there were scenes I wouldn’t like my Son to see but, there wasn’t anything scary about it, just laughable. If you consider that during my early years, it was the film most talked about film not to see, the hype built it up.

From a theistic point of view it raises some good points about possession and how it is far more likely to be mental health related, since demons do not exist.

The truth is subjective, relative, non-sense.

Take a look at this picture, it show an highly respected and experienced workshop leader teaching a young person how to play guitar for the first time. The picture shows patience and careful teaching, showing where to put fingers on the fretboard to create a sequence.

NOPE!! The photographer told us what to do, like most media, it’s staged to make it look like the above.

They show you what they want you to believe. we all do that.
