The Last Broadcast (reboot)

I feel silly using the phrase reboot, it isn’t a reboot just a different incarnation of a theme. The first tlb was a music show, the second a video show during lockdown. The third and final one, I am planning will be static show from one of my desks and various recording set ups in my home. I have my hiking show and my Halloween show, sometimes I want to share without the parameters of the laid out themes I have set up and just chat, so this seems more reasonable. I hope that it is consistent and has the longevity of the other two.

The featured image does not reflect the post but is taken in roughly the same place I came up with the Hike ‘n’ Pod concept and the first episode, so it is connected.

Caught in the middle

The excitement of ghost has now worn off and the thought of trying to maintain two blogs has finally set in. It has given me the notion that I need to improve my set up with blogging and social media etc. I need a more exciting theme for my blog, ghost nearly provided that. I don’t think I need all the plugins that wordpress provides but I do like the ease that ghost provides for writing on a LinSys. I have managed to get WP working my googleless android, so I will see has this turns out. I still can’t publish podcasts on this app which again deafeats the object.

WP or Ghost

I am currently working on a new blog  platform software called ghost.io. I have just signed up to a 2 week trial for the premium set up but I can run it natively on my LinSys (just thought of that because I didn’t want to say pc as that makes reference to Windows). Both systems have their merits for different reasons. I like WordPress mainly because it is familiar to me and my journey with it is has been long and I have developed a mobile method of blogging and podding to suit me.

Ghost is cleaner and claims to help me gain or acquire an audience, since I have an audience of two, that does sound attractive. Although due to my age and content, I am not holding out much hope. Plus the podcasting options without Ancher.fm appear to be nonexistent.
