It has been since last August that I have decided to redesign my living and give a more country cottage feel. I am a way off of living in a country cottage, so I decided to make do with what I have.
The shelves are fitted, which took me a long time, months to create, I can’t blame COVID for this, they were a pain to produce due to the irregular shape of the walls and getting the motivation to finish them was difficult. The fire place is faux and has it’s own origin story worthy of its own post. The next step is to hang my guitar on the opposite wall and put wooden legs on my computer desk. The tv stand I built myself from scratch, it’s nothing to look at but is functional.
The opposite wall you can’t see has a mural on it of a mountain view complete with a moon, it will have a signposts on it but I haven’t made them yet. Lastly I will purchase a brand new sofa to finish the look. Once that has been done, I will look at creating faux beams to hang around the room and close it in to give that extra cosy feel.
