Having just arrived in Penzance for the second time this year in three months, I have to say how nice it is not having a savage cough, having to wear 4 layers and worrying about being ill. It rained for a small section of the journey down and west, but, when I got to Penzance and parked up, the Sun came out and the cloud cover disappeared.
I have given myself a rubbish budget of £30, something that Lucas disputed and tried to offer me £10 of his money, so I would have more to spend. I explained to him, that these adventures only work and can continue if I don’t overspend money. I can then prove I can survive on next to nothing and it will have all been worth it. He then said to me “Enjoy your broke holiday” 🤣
I spent £10 already, by buying a coffee at Fleet and then a pretzel, decaf coffee for the week, some tofu (don’t comment, I like it) biscuits and a drink that was horrible. Oh and dinner for this evening Vege burgers. All in all I ended up spending £15, half my budget. I didn’t think that was a problem as it doesn’t include petrol home and parking costs. But, it does include bus fare, I then went to play on a fruit machine with the remaining change I had in my wallet, which was 0.90p and won £5. My budget for the remaining time has now increased to £20. So not bad.
I am just finishing up my dinner as I write this before heading off to Sennen for the evening walk and live broadcast…
The (Dread) house at end of the World. Live at 7pm-ish
Apologies for the extremely poor quality of the podcast, the live broadcast didn’t work the first time but then it worked the second with only one listener. I think that was better than now.
